Privacy Policy

The cut-and-dry version of how Teak Time (a Capsule 6 project) handles your information. Short, because there isn't much to tell.

Effective July 26, 2026

The short version

We don't run ads, analytics, or trackers, and we set no cookies. The only personal information we ever hold is what you hand us directly — an email address for the Insider Log — plus a few preferences your browser keeps on your own device.

Who we are

Teak Time is made by Capsule 6, a one-person studio based in the United States, and Capsule 6 is the data controller for everything described here. Questions about any of it: hello@capsule6.com.

The email list

When you drop your email into one of our forms, we store the address, the page it came from, and the date — in our private CRM, hosted on Notion in the United States. It's used for exactly one thing: sending you Teak Time updates like the Insider Log and release news. It is never sold, never shared for marketing, and never used for advertising. We keep the address until you ask off the list or ask for it to be deleted — then it's removed, not archived.

What stays on your device

The site remembers a few small things in your browser's own storage: your language, that you've seen the language chooser, the soundtrack's position and mute state on desktop, and whether you've unlocked the Insider's Lounge this session. None of it identifies you, none of it is tracking, and none of it ever leaves your device — clearing your browser's site data wipes all of it.

The services under the hood

Three third parties touch the site's plumbing. Vercel hosts it — like any host, its servers see standard request logs (your IP address, the pages requested) in order to deliver and secure the site. Notion stores the email list, as above. Google Fonts serves our typefaces — Google states the service sets no cookies, though your IP address reaches Google's servers when the fonts load. None of them receive your data for advertising, and we run no analytics on top of any of it. Your data may be processed in the United States, where these services operate.

Your rights

Wherever you live — and whichever acronym applies, GDPR, CCPA, or none — the deal is the same: you can ask what we hold about you, request a copy, have it corrected, or have it deleted. One email to hello@capsule6.com and it's done, normally within a few days. No hoops.

Not for kids

Teak Time is written for people wading through school and early careers — it isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. If a kid slipped an email into one of the forms, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If any of this changes, this page changes with it — and the effective date at the top moves too. Meaningful changes get a note in the Insider Log.

Teak Time is a project of Capsule 6.
